Bethesda certainly didn’t fail to disappoint. The conference showcased some massively exciting titles, that gave all of us here at GAME HQ an instant second-wind of energy – despite it being 05:00AM in the UK.
Want to find out what’s in store for VR? Well, Bethesda have got you more than covered. With DOOM and Fallout 4 coming to virtual reality, we can’t wait to jump in to the immersive worlds of some absolute Bethesda classics – did someone say battling demonic forces from Hell – in VR!? Hmm, we might need a change of underwear for that one. DOOM VR doesn’t sound scary enough for you? Then why not wait until Friday, 13th October and the release of Evil Within 2. We definitely feel like we’re going to need a couple of months to prepare emotionally for that one – what are you trying to do to us, Bethesda? #scarefest!
That’s right folks, you guessed it. Bethesda have confirmed a new standalone adventure in the Dishonored series called Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
We’re super excited to take on the role of notorious supernatural assassin, Billie Lurk as we reunite with trusty mentor, Daud in order to pull off the greatest assassination ever conceived.
With compelling characters and exhilarating action, Death of the Outsider is the perfect entry point for those new to the Dishonored series, while delivering a significant expansion of the gameplay and world for long-time fans.
Wolfenstein is back, and more importantly, so is B.J. Blazkowicz, aka “Terror-Billy”. After teasing us about a potential new Wolfenstein game at last year’s E3, Bethesda confirmed that we will be getting a brand new instalment to the series in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Ready to bust up some Nazis? Get ready to expect plenty of dark humour from an array of characters, some old faces and some new, as you look to start a revolution against Nazi-occupied America.

The conference also showcased a number of honourable mentions that has us chomping at the bit at GAME HQ.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and along with the new motion controls made possible by the Switch’s new Joy-Con controllers, the game is also compatible with Amiibo figures from the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild line – say what!? Do you mean to tell me that we’ll get to play as Link?
The ever-popular Quake franchise is looking to establish itself in the Esports realm with Quake Champions – do you think you’re up to the task and able to take home the prize money?
Last year, Bethesda mods were made available to PlayStation and Xbox users. In 2017, Bethesda are taking this to a whole new level with the introduction of Creation Club. With new weapons, enemies and skins on show for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, we can’t wait to see what this next year brings!
Lastly, but certainly not least, Bethesda continued to expand on the fan-favourite Elder Scrolls universe, with plans to bring a free-to-play card game to iPhone and Android, entitled Elder Scrolls Legends. Watch this space.
