Everybody’s favourite open-world destruct-a-thon is back with Just Cause 4.
Though it was announced at Microsoft’s conference yesterday, Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have given us a greater look at where the series is heading in Square Enix’s own conference.
One of the biggest reveals was the new weather system that includes tornados, storms, and other cataclysmic conditions that will affect the game’s world.
Just Cause 4 will continue the series’ tradition of being a fun open-world playground for players, allowing them to combine mechanics and experiment with items in cool and interesting ways.
New threats in the environment, original vehicles, and improved handling for cars have also been announced for the game. As well as this, series’ staples including the wingsuit and hookshot will make a return. This time around, though, the hookshot has undergone a redesign for greater depth and customizability.
In Just Cause 4, players will once again assume control of the revolutionary Rico Rodriguez, exploring a open sandbox environment full of destructible buildings and a bevy of tantalizing tools. Avalanche, you have our attention.
Just Cause 4 will be coming to consoles on 4th December 2018.
