• FIRST THOUGHTS FROM E3 – SKULL AND BONES

A dark and brutal trailer complete with ransacking pirates sailing the Indian Ocean revealed itself, live from Ubisoft’s E3 conference, as a brand new IP: Skull and Bones. Climb the food chain and surpass all pirates to ever sail the seven seas in what Ubisoft described as the “ultimate pirate experience”.

Our take on Skull and Bones

The year is 1721 and the world is fashioned and designed by you and players from around the world. Skull and Bones will allow players to captain their own pirate ship and form pirate gangs – ooo arghh(!) - and battle other pirates also looking to uncover the treasures just off the coast of Madagascar. It’s a dog eat dog world out there, so you best look out for numero uno on the high seas. The pirate code won’t protect you from a cutlass after all.

Why we’re excited about Skull and Bones

The multiplayer aspect of the game looked particularly impressive. Climb the food chain in Skull and Bones, season after season, as you collaborate with other blood-thirsty players to become the ultimate pirate in 5 v 5 team based PVP.

This tactical action game takes combat to the next level. Ubisoft Singapore have arrived and they have created seas we want to kick ass on. This should hardly come as a surprise. The Singapore team were the creative masterminds behind the seafaring exploits of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, so there’s some real pedigree behind the game.

Use the winds to increase your ship’s speed, or position yourself aboard your ship for added tactical advantages in battle. The gameplay looked absolutely stunning, and those graphics; the sea has never looked so beautiful.

128 days, the average amount of time a pirate survived at sea during the golden age. How long will you survive? Sign up now for the Beta and prepare yourself for a whole host of tactical awesomeness – out autumn 2018.
